When Life Asks More of You
Some seasons of life ask more of us than others. A marriage is shifting. Someone you love is unwell. A loss has rearranged your family. Friendships you once counted on have quietly fallen away. Or you are waking up to how much of your life has been built around everyone else's needs.
Life transitions therapy is a space to be with what is changing, at a pace that lets you take it in. For sensitive, high-capacity women navigating life transitions, change is rarely only practical. It is felt in the body, in the nervous system, in sleep, in relationships, and in the quiet places where identity lives.
You do not need a diagnosis or a clear story to begin. Many women arrive simply knowing that something has shifted and that they no longer want to move through it alone.
Together, we make room for all of it, one gentle step at a time.
The Seasons of Change I Support Women Through
Relationship changes
A partner's illness or addiction
Grief and loss

How I Approach Therapy for Life Transitions
My approach is humanistic, transpersonal, and depth-oriented. As a life transitions therapist and Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years of clinical experience, I bring together talk therapy, nervous system awareness, integrative mental health, quantum biology for health, my Heart Wave Coherence practices, and my Heart Wisdom Re-Alignment guided process and clinical hypnotherapy.
We begin with where you are now. From there, we gently trace how this transition is living in your body, your relationships, your health, and your history. A present change often touches older patterns, and we make room for those too, at a pace your nervous system can hold.
I see a transition as movement, a stage you are passing through, and I hold it that way in our work together. You are welcome to bring the fuller dimensions of your experience here, including intuition, spirituality, and your connection to nature.
Somatic Therapy for Life Transitions
Change is something we often feel before we can explain it. A tight chest when the phone rings. Sleep that will not settle. A body that keeps bracing long after the hardest moment has passed.
Embodied somatic therapy brings the body into the conversation. Alongside talking, we use breath, nervous system tracking, and Heart Wave Coherence practices to help your system register safety again.
This body-based work is woven through every session, whether we meet weekly or in a full-day intensive.
Going Deeper With a Full-Day Intensive
Weekly therapy can be a meaningful part of moving through a transition. For others, a big life change asks for more time than a 40 or 60-minute session can hold. We often have to stop just as your system is opening.
The Embodied Somatic Therapy Intensive is a 6 to 7-hour licensed clinical container held in one extended day. It gives us uninterrupted space to move through what this season has stirred, whether that is grief, a relationship ending, a spiritual awakening, or health-related stress, and to support felt change in your body and nervous system.
Integration sessions afterward help what opened during the day settle and stay with you.
Weekly Holistic Psychotherapy for Ongoing Support
If you would rather have steady, ongoing support as your transition unfolds, weekly or biweekly holistic psychotherapy is also available. Some women begin here. Others begin with an intensive and continue with regular sessions for integration.
We can sense together which rhythm fits you best during your consult call.
Who This Work Is For
Life transitions therapy with me is for sensitive, high-capacity women who:
- Are moving through a change that feels bigger than they can make sense of alone
- Look like they are managing well from the outside while carrying a great deal on the inside
- Want a therapist who will hold the emotional and spiritual sides of change without pathologizing either
- Feel ready to give their own needs a place in the story again
This is a licensed clinical service, available to residents of Massachusetts, California, and Arizona. It is a private-pay practice, and HSA and FSA payments are accepted through Jane.
Frequently Asked Questions
Life transitions therapy is support for the seasons when life changes shape, whether through a relationship, a loss, a health challenge, a spiritual shift, or a change in how you see yourself. In my practice, it is holistic. We work with your thoughts and emotions alongside your nervous system, body, and relationships, so the change can be both understood and felt.
There is no threshold you need to reach. Many women reach out because they have been holding a change on their own for a long time, or because the ways they used to cope no longer fit. If something in you is asking for space to be with what is shifting, that is reason enough to begin.
Yes. A marriage that is shifting or ending is one of the transitions women most often bring to our work. We make room for the grief, the practical decisions, and the questions about identity that tend to come with it. I work with women individually and do not offer couples counselling.
Yes. Body-based, nervous system work is part of how I practice. Alongside conversation, we may use breath, nervous system tracking, HeartMath coherence practices, and guided inner work that can include hypnotherapy when it fits. It is never required, and we go only as far as your system can hold.
Every new client begins with a consult call. It is a chance to share what you are moving through, hear more about my holistic approach, and sense whether working together feels right. If it does, we move into a fuller intake and then into weekly sessions or an intensive, all by telehealth through Jane.
For licensed psychotherapy, including life transitions therapy and the intensive, I can only work with residents of Massachusetts, California, and Arizona, where I hold clinical licensure.
My Spiral Guide offerings are available worldwide. They are educational and consultative in nature and can complement any clinical care you are receiving locally.
