Melissa Jean Paulson, MSW
LICSW
Embodied Somatic Therapy Intensive, Holistic Psychotherapy, Integrative Health Clarity Consulting, Spiral Guide for Sensitive & Strong Women
I first became licensed in 1997 with my LCSW. I have been a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Massachusetts since 1998 and later added licensure in California where I had lived over a decade and more recently in Arizona where I frequently visit also, as Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
My training began at the age of 19 years old in a locked psychiatric ward while attending psychology and social work classes receiving my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. I worked in child and protective services while working towards my social work degree in children and family services. My career as a therapist and consultant began in 1995 with children who had experienced trauma and adults who struggled with substance abuse issues. I also became trained as a mediator and advocated for children within the court system.
For the last 15 years or more, I’ve focused primarily on holistic, body-aware, and spiritually respectful work that bridges science, sensitivity, and soul. I support sensitive women in understanding their unique makeup, high-resolution nervous systems, reconnecting with their body’s wisdom, and realigning with their authentic voice.
Beyond my clinical licensure, I hold certifications in Integrative Mental Health, Quantum Biology for Health, HeartMath Practitioner, Clinical Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy with Age Regression, and I have in clinic training in functional lab reviews with additional epigenetic training from TruDiagnostics. These credentials inform both my therapeutic work and my integrative health consulting practice.
“Your mind is not your enemy. Your body is wise. Your soul is speaking. Let’s realign you with your heart wisdom and authentic self.”

My Journey Home
In my late teens, I worked on a locked psychiatric ward, holding space for crisis and complexity long before I had language for my own. During that time, my older brother died in a motor vehicle accident, a loss that shattered my sense of safety and made the fragility of life impossible to ignore.
My early career in the mid-90s as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) focused on helping children and families navigate trauma and substance use. I held space for others, even as I ignored the whispers of my own body, whispers that conventional medicine couldn’t explain or ease.
Motherhood brought its own initiations: infertility, loss, postpartum struggles, and a body that often felt like an unpredictable stranger. A few years later in 2005, autoimmune symptoms emerged, asking me to listen in a new way.
Then in 2008, everything changed. Watching You Can Heal Your Life – The Movie by Louise Hay cracked me open. I whispered, “I deeply love and accept myself,” again and again. For weeks, I felt light, free, and deeply connected, as if the veil between the seen and unseen world had thinned.
I was raised in the Roman Catholic tradition and educated in its teachings, but during this spontaneous awakening, there was no reference to religion, no return to familiar doctrine. Instead, I was met with pure presence, a deep knowing that I am eternal, abundant, and divinely connected.
That moment marked the beginning of a lifelong remembrance, one that would eventually become The Re-Aligned Journey™.
My path to this work was not straight. It moved through clinical practice, family law, mediation, therapeutic school settings, a spiritual awakening that changed everything, cross-country moves, and rebuilding from ground zero more than once. My body has been my most honest teacher: through hypothyroidism, Hashimoto’s, and a healing journey that has spanned decades and drawn from quantum biology, somatic practice, circadian wisdom, and the understanding that the body is not broken, it is always, intelligently, moving toward light.
I don’t guide women through realignment because I studied it. I guide them because I have lived it, and I am still living it.
The Spiral of Science, Sensitivity, and Soul
My studies in Integrative Mental Health with Dr. Leslie Korn, HeartMath® emotional coherence, and Clinical Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy deepened my understanding of how the heart, brain, and subconscious communicate, how emotion, biology, and energy mirror one another in an ongoing conversation of becoming. Then I was fascinated by Dr. Christopher Palmer's discoveries on mitochondrial and metabolic dysfunction on mental and physical health. His book Brain Energy is one I recommend for those looking for a deeper understanding of the connections and influence of what we eat. While circadian rhythm research opened my eyes to why I have always loved the sun and the importance of aligning our days with it. My natural draw to earthing, sound frequencies and the sun primed me for what came next in my certification training.
When I entered the field of Quantum Biology for Health, the pieces came together. Even before the formal training began, something in me was already remembering. My daily practices grew stronger; I felt called back to nature, to silence and stillness, to playful moments with my youngest son that re-tuned my nervous system to joy. Life itself became the teacher: the sun and moon, water and earth, wind and fire became living guides in rhythm and coherence.
This was the point where learning became embodiment, where the spiral turned inward and The Re-Aligned Journey™ began to breathe through me.
What It Feels Like to Work With Me
My presence is shaped by years of professional training and lived experience, and by the unique way I move in the world. As a Gemini Sun, Capricorn Moon, Aquarius Rising and Emotional Manifesting Generator (Human Design) | Express Builder (BG5) with a 3/5 profile, I learn by living. I test, refine, and share only what has proven true in my own life and in the women I work with.
With the Human Design channels of Charisma, Community, Mating, Custodianship, Struggle, and Beat, I bring a deep capacity for holding others in transformation. I have a design of a self-empowered, empowering, and supportive presence for those in my community. My work translates the mechanics of Human Design and BG5 into the language of sensitivity, helping women not just understand their design but feel it through their nervous system so alignment becomes embodied, not theoretical.
My role as a spiral guide, a bridge of remembrance, is to help women move from stress and striving into spaciousness and self‑trust. You won’t find formulas or rigid steps here. Instead, you’ll find frequency, an energetic field that gently invites you back to your own wholeness with more love and light.
Every woman I work with is already whole. My role is simply to hold the remembering. Together, we turn awareness into alignment, and alignment into a way of being.
My work continues to evolve as life does, a living spiral of remembrance, coherence, and creation. I’ve learned that healing isn’t something we chase; it’s what naturally unfolds when we slow down enough to listen.
The spiral keeps turning in my work, in the women I serve, and in the great rhythm of life itself. If something within you feels resonance here you are invited to walk this path with me in the way that most aligns for you.
If something in you softens as you read this… you are already on the path. Take a break and breath love. You know the way home.
